Cyber Essentials is an unbiased and objective standard introduced by the UK government to address cyber threats. This easily adoptable and prescriptive framework provides UK businesses with two assessment options, to demonstrate their commitment to cyber security and reduce the cyber risk by 80%.

What does it mean to me and my customers?

The standard addresses five pillars, including firewalls, gateways, configuration, access control and patching. By completing the assessment, you are proving to your customers that you take cyber security seriously, following best practice and therefore increasing your credibility.
